What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definately worthwhile. I was able to learn things about people and cultures that just isn't possible in a class room or in the United States.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

Most of the admiinstration is very nice.

It was a short walk to my classes and the center of town and my host was very friendly.

My host cooked me dinner six nights a week and each one was great. She tried to cook according to my likes and dislikes and also tried to avoid cooking the same thing every night.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The trips were nice and we had plenty of opportunities to do other activities with other students.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Our city was very safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you are comparing it to Paris, do this program if you like better weather and a small town where the people are more friendly.
