I lived at the Tonghe International Housing: 28 Wudong Road, Yangpu District, Shanghai, China. All the utilities were provided including air-conditioning. Very comfortable environment. <br /><br /> Very Comfortable

Lots of variety around the apartment.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

There was always something to do around town, in the city, or at the mall. Everything was very reachable by cab, subway, or cart.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The apartment staff wanted all of the rent paid within the first week.

We only spoke Chinese in the classroom which really increased my proficiency.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It was a lot of fun and the classes were very informative, but challenging.
