It was amazing and I would definitely do it again! While I'm not sure I would use the same program, to be immersed so fully in the culture was an incredible, life changing experience!!! I learned so much about Spanish culture and language! Definitely worthwhile! I recommend study abroad to everyone!!! McKenna O - Fairfield University View Entire Review
I learned how people in a different country live. I was able to and learned that I was able to rely on myself and forced to be independent. It was a great experience and I really immersed myself in the culture. Shamel G - Fairfield University View Entire Review
About
Madrid is the political, economic and cultural heart of Spain. A truly international city, Madrid hosts a dynamic metropolitan lifestyle noted for fine arts venues such as the Prado Museum, the Renia Sofia Museum, and the Tysen Bornemisza Museum. In addition to its many museums, students can enjoy numerous parks and plazas to grab a café cortado with friends or read a good book. The city is centrally located in Spain which allows access to affordable and accessible modes of transportation for domestic and international travel throughout the world.
Students will attend classes at Comillas Pontifical University which was founded in 1890 by the Marquis de Comillas and entrusted to the Jesuits. Students are required to take 1 Spanish language course and 4 additional content courses taught in English or Spanish, for a total of up to 15 credits. Students with advanced proficiency of the Spanish language may take courses with local students.
