Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

- The program was great, but I wish there had been more job opportunities afterward.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

LA was very accomodating.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The Oakwoods were a lovely choice, close enough to campus, but not hard to find.

* Food:

Wish there had been more local and organic choices.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

- Was able to meet people from all over.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Was not needed.

* Safety:

no safety related incidents

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I wish Emerson provided low budget food along with housing. Cooking for myself and my roomate took more out of pocket then I would have liked.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? -$75-$100 per week. More so in times of travel.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? limit yourself. Emerson may not provide, but Los angeles has stores to buy in bulk, Costco, BevMo ETC.
