What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned more about what it is like to teach at an international school in a different country away from you family. I also improved and learned more German than I knew going to Germany. It was so worthwhile. It was an amazing teaching experience that increased my interest in teaching abroad.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • I loved the staff at the school I worked with. They did a lot together at and outside of school.
  • I loved the location. The school was located at a beautiful city along the Rhine with amazing views.
  • I loved the school's philosophy of education. I enjoyed the use of creative and fun lessons to engage the students in learning.
* What could be improved?
  • I loved my living situation, but I wish I would have had assistance from the program in finding it.
  • I wish I would have found out where I was going a little bit earlier, so I could have ordered my tickets earlier.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you are willing to take a risk and be flexible, everything will work out wonderfully. Even if you are nervous, you should realize that there are a lot of great people at the school and in the program that want to help you and will help you become successful in this program.
