At first adapting to the dorm apartments was difficult but I loved living there, it SO improved my Italian and my whole experience would not have been the same without my roommates.

great trips, among others to venice and rome (wonderful!!!)

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I always felt very safe in Bologna, was never scared to walk around at night or anything.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cook yourselves, with your roommates and you can spend all your pocket/food money on travelling :) and cooking with the Italians is so fun

With everyone 24/7, it is full immersion. You do have to use Italian in everyday situations, supermarkets, restaurants etc. Unless somebody chooses for it not to be, you can find lots of other American students.
