What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I am not as worldly as I thought, people under stress become allies. Yes I think I was worthwhile, but better for me in the longterm than right now

Cook for yourself/eat out. I liked having control over what I was eating instead of being on a meal plan

I preferred being with expats

I didn't have problems with my health abroad but the system in place seemed fine.

* Safety:

Bologna can be a loud city, but I never felt all that unsafe.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Great professors and admin
  • Travel opportunity
  • Educational Opportunities Provided by program (tours, museums etc)
* What could be improved?
  • More exposure to Italian students
  • Italian phones are not always necessary
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Communication with the people you live with is very important but very difficult with a language/culture barrier
