Overall Experience
A student studying abroad with Connect-123: Buenos Aires - Volunteer/Intern in Argentina
I learned that I need to be more extroverted in an office setting, not to let my personal emotions interfere with my work (I was pickpocketed), and the best way to meet locals is to do a local activity, It was definitely worth it, I grew so much on this trip! - Northeastern University View Entire Review
I've learned more about web development and have improved my ability to read and write code. I have also improved my language skills and have definitely think it was worthwhile. - Flagler College View Entire Review
I learned how to communicate better in Spanish. The most valuable part of the experience for me was the psychological component. I learned how people in Buenos Aires expect to be treated in therapy, I was able to sit in on group sessions and learned about new styles of therapy that are being used in Argentina. - Emporia State University View Entire Review

Buenos Aires Highlights:

The birthplace of tango, the Paris of the South America and home to two of the most passionately supported football clubs in the world, Buenos Aires is a city rich with culture, excitement, and adventure.

Program participants are overwhelmed with a choice of museums, street theater, live jazz and cafe orchestras, and will love the theaters and bookshops of the Avenida Corrientes. The city is also home to the 19th century Teatro Colon, as well known for its stunning architecture as for the renowned opera and ballet performances it has hosted. By contrast, small folk clubs called penas give visitors an insight into the music and dance of gaucho culture.

Further afield there are opportunities for whale watching, tours of the wine region, hiking in the Andes, and skiing in Bariloche. Make time for a trip to the dramatic landscape of Patagonia at the end of the world, or to experience the spectacular sight of the Iguazu Falls.

With so much to do and see in Buenos Aires and Argentina, we're always happy to provide advice on how to plan your adventure.
