Complutense University of Madrid: Madrid - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a lot of personal experience and reached a lot of language skills. The first two weeks where great to be welcomed in Madrid. They where filled with activities, excursions and explanations about Spanish life. I would always do the program as well and advise everyone to do it as well!

The housing was quite satisfying, but as well expansive.

Spanish foot is just great! The wine as well! :)

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Life in Spain and Madrid is just great!! You will enjoy it!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt very safe. But health issues weren´t adressed by the program.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

Language acquisition improvement?

The Spanish courses where very effective, covered the whole grammar, writing of texts, doing discussions and preparing speeches.

Direct Enrollment/Exchange

* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? Direct Enrollment

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? The program was great!! The university is a good institution, taking a lot of care of their students and offering perfect Spanish courses. Our classes where made only with foreign students, Spanish students wheren´t included in the classes. That minimized language difficulties. The university is a place to feel comfortable and welcomed! The program is a good mixture between free-time activities, university and Spanish classes.
