What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned adaptability, patience, and acceptance. It was truly a humbling experience and I recommend it to anyone that wants to travel abroad. It also taught me a lot about myself, and let me meet so many new people.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I had an amazing time, the program was well designed and had so much to offer students. I will never forget my experience abroad, it taught me so much.

They were truly amazing, they helped with any problem that you could have, super friendly as well.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I had the most amazing host family, they were super welcoming and made me feel part of the family.

* Food:

I enjoyed the food my host mom made for me it was very diverse, and she stuck to my guidelines as stated in my application.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt really immersed in the local culture, many people were super inviting and I also made lifelong friends.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

The pharmacies are excellent, and they are super helpful.

* Safety:

I always felt super safe where ever, but I was always with other students as well.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Yes! I loved Sevilla and it was in a great location, and it is student friendly. It also was one of the cheapest locations in Europe.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Sevilla was not as expensive, as I planned it to be.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 75
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I overbudgeted on much I would spend weekly which I honestly recommend doing. I also would look at the deals that were on Facebook for students.

How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

I was able to use it every day due to having my classes in Spanish.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Talk to your host family, there are always willing to help you! I also recommend making Spanish friends!

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? That it actually gets really cold in Spain, which I didn't think about before I left.
