What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about the historic and contemporary Czech context and Czech culture. I also had the privilege of making friends with Czech students that I will have for a long time going forward.

Although there were small problems throughout the program, I had an overall amazing experience in Prague. CIEE did a nice job in helping to prepare students for the Czech culture both in the pre-departure information and orientation. The classes were not too intensive but informative and very educational.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It is very easy to cook and eat out for minimal cost.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Definitely cook in the apartments!

The program has a week long intensive at the beginning of the program to learn the basics of Czech, but they also offer a full semester class.
