the work load was not hard to handle.

several planned excursions, good transportation (hassle to get to), staff were very friendly at chateau.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We stayed at a chateau in a quiet town outside of the city, We lived with 2 other college/university groups and the staff of the chateau.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

we took several trips to places in germany and france, we saw castles, museums, wineries, and even a concentration camp.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

the host city had a safe feeling to it overall.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent maybe 40-80 euro depending on how often with a group or by myself would go out.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Pre-paid phone and bike rental.

Language acquisition improvement?

practiced with locals, did not need in everyday interactions unless outside the chateau, everyone at chateau spoke english, most french citizens knew basic english.
