Stepping Out Of Your Comfort Zone Past Review

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned not to be afraid to try new things. I also learned that being social is easier than it seems. You never know the type of people you can relate to if you're judging them from the outside. This experience was extremely worthwhile. I would do it again if I could (just not through Globalinks).

  • Everyone was helpful and friendly.
  • I made a second family in Australia.
  • I learned a lot about myself and what I want to change about myself.
* What could be improved?
  • I wish my study abroad program was more knowledgeable and helpful.
  • Make it easier for international students to get around.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Rockhampton doesn't have a larger airport so I always had to purchase a connecting flight when traveling. I wish I would've went to a bigger town/city to make weekend trips less expensive and easier.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
