Open to students who have completed two semesters or more of college-level Spanish.  Learn about a variety of health care settings in the Yucatan, which may include government-run social service hospitals, private hospitals and clinics, and rural and urban health care programs.

Explore the impact of cultural expectations and complex health issues as they relate to health care professions.  Students’ professional development is enhanced by two weeks of shadowing local professionals in their area of interest.  Examples include nursing, medicine, nutrition, physical therapy, speech therapy, mental health and health education.
