What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned so much about a culture that I was completely unfamiliar with beforehand. It was definitely worthwhile. I loved the Fijian culture. My stay on Beqa island really showed me how different their culture is from ours in America, and was very eye-opening.

I loved the course. We learned so much in our 3 weeks in Fiji and were able to apply what we learned in class to the dives we were going on.

The native Fijian meals for lunch everyday were amazing and a great way to experience the culture.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We were able to visit a local village on Beqa island. This was an incredible experience and completely different from our everyday lives. This visit really gave me a sense of what traditional Fijian culture is like.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Unfortunately I did have to go the the hospital a couple of times but all the doctors and my instructors were very helpful every step of the way.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

This trip was honestly the most fun I've ever had. I learned so much, made so many new friends, and lived in the most beautiful area.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Saying goodbye to Fiji and all the friends you made and all the sharks will be SO hard.
