What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was great to hear the European side of the GAAP/IFRS standards convergence issue. Going over there and asking them about it is about the only way to hear their side of the argument firsthand.

I don't know if there would be a better way to be introduced to international accounting besides doing an internship abroad. Great program!

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • I liked how laid back it was. We had meetings and appointments at businesses and agencies, but most of the time we were free to explore the cities.
* What could be improved?
  • Nothing comes to mind at the moment.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Pack light. You can never pack too light.
