Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

At the beginning there was a lot of confusion as to what would be expected of us, what we should be taking notes on, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

There were some shady hotels, but all part of the experience!

* Food:

We got as good as we were willing to find ourselves.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We moved around so much and stuck mainly to museums, etc. so there wasn't really the time or means to integrate

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Mainly the 3-stars for pick-pockets. Hold on to your valuables!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

The main thing was the difference between the Euro and Dollar

* Was housing included in your program cost? Yes
* Was food included in your program cost? No
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 80-100 dollars a week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You can always barter with street vendors, so don't be afraid to drive prices down. Don't eat near tourist locations, because the food will be way overpriced.
