Boston University: Sydney - Sydney Internship Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes, it was a great experience and definitely changed my views and plans. I would recommend studying abroad to everyone.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload wasn't too heavy and the grading system was pretty lenient.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I wasn't fully immersed in the culture because I was with other American students.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The apartment is in a great location and is close to malls, parks, grocery stores, and bars. Sheets, towels, and kitchen supplies were provided.

* Food:

Food is a little bit more expensive than in America, but Paddy's Market had great deals.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Melbourone trip was amazing.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Cars are crazy in Australia and bedside manner is a little lacking in hospitals.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
