What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
SO worthwhile! I gained cultural and personal growth like I never have before. I was able to adapt to such an unfamiliar environment and I feel ready to tack anything.

I love the food in New York City...such an eclectic mix!

I felt totally immersed. My program advisor made sure I explored the city to my fullest potential. I finally figured out how to navigate myself around NYC...such a feat!

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Take the subway! Avoid cabs...it really adds up! Also look up free events in the city you'll surprised by how there is to do for free!

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • I loved the orientation program and how I felt very comfortable with the Eiabroaders immediately!
  • I felt totally immersed in the city...I decided after college I am moving to NYC
  • I gained such a fresh outlook on myself and others.
* What could be improved?
  • better explanation of the city
  • more social events as an Eibroad team
  • extend the summer until September
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? How complex NYC actually is. It took me a long time to really find my way around.
