This was an internship program so the academic rigor was very little but the internship was challenging and fun.

Our housing was fabulous, very modern apartments in a great location

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Since it was all summer, I felt that I was very integrated in the culture and let myself feel like a real local

Using the language was encouraged and I would have liked to speak Spanish more often but it was difficult that everyone in Barcelona knows English and none of my roommates spoke spanish

What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? Very advanced spanish courses and I had studied abroad in Spain prior to this summer
How many hours per day did you use the language?
Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Just speak it whenever possible and you will see a difference whether you realize it or not
