Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Gregory Pelizzari is an amazing artist and teacher! He inspires and encourages artists to follow their own intuition.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My living arrangements were not provided by the atelier, but Greg Pelizzari told me about people in town to contact who rented out rooms.

* Food:

Food was not provided, but I loved the French food overall!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I spoke with the other students at the atelier as much as I could! There were many French ladies that came to learn to paint as well as many other internationals.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

This rating may vary considering that I am a young woman: however, it seemed that I could not walk on the streets beyond 5 pm because it was not safe. I'm sure if you're a man, you're perfectly safe!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

This experience changed my life and changed the way I look at painting.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I was not awarded enough money for extra travel expenses and food costs. So I did come out of pocket for those things.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 65 Euros

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

Greg P. speaks English and we spoke mostly English together. However, he did speak French to me as well and it helped me to practice and learn new French words.
