What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I have an even greater want than before to travel more and experience different cultures for a longer period of time than simply a vacation.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I thought it was interesting to experience a different style of teaching and to take different classes than what I perhaps would have taken at PC. When it came to the workload it is hard to compare because it is much more independent studying than in the States.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program administrators on site were absolutely amazing. They were very helpful, supportive, available, engaged, and fun!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Lived in a townhouse in the university village with four other Australian girls. Had my own room and bathroom and then shared kitchen, dining room and TV room.

* Food:

I would like to think that I make good food...

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I met wonderful people who made my time in Australia amazing. That the leaders/administrators were fantastic also definitely helped a lot.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Australia is very safe and there are no health issues that do not exist in any other "western" country.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? That food is a lot more expensive than in USA, especially when it comes to eating out.
