Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

This program is unique because it allows you to take some courses at the Arcadia Study Center, and some courses at affiliated British Universities (direct enrollment). I believe that Arcadia did a great job explaining this process and preparing me for adjustment to British education.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We lived pretty far from the city center, but the actual accommodations were nice.

* Food:

The program requires you to be in charge of all of your own food (NO MEAL PLAN) but it is a great opportunity to learn to cook for yourself and explore the culture of another country through food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The internship really helped this.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had to visit a doctor abroad and Arcadia made sure I was well taken care of. They have insurance through the program that covers your medical needs abroad.

* Safety:

I felt very safe taking the train alone and walking.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I wanted the direct enrollment aspect, as well as the safety of a study center, AND an internship. This program allowed me to accomplish all of those goals.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

London is expensive...

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $200
