Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There was a mix of foreign, local, and american students and lecturers in all of my classes.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Overall the program tried to make themselves available, but they could have offered more services.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in an apartment with an American girl and an Irish boy. I lived in Gort na Coiribe and it was great.

It was easy to get to school and town. The supermarket was across the street.

* Food:

I had to cook all of my own food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The cultural and social part of Galway is the BEST!!! The atmosphere in town is undescribable.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

We were very well informed about the mumps outbreak. I felt very safe in Galway.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Galway is very expensive.
