Trinity College Dublin Is An English Major's Dream Past Review

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
These were the best four months of my life. My classes were challenging, my teachers were engaging, and I learned so much about myself. The Irish people were so friendly. I am seriously considering graduate school at Trinity in a year and a half.

The system for signing up for classes is very different. Nothing is done online.

The orientation was a little difficult since we didn't move right into our apartments.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Our apartment came fully furnished. we did have to purchase sheets and a pillows.

* Food:

Good places around the housing area where Arcadia put us in Rathmines: Jo Burger, Dunne's for groceries, etc.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Day trip to Wicklow was great. We also did a homestay weekend in Tuam, which was eye opening. The family was so accommodating and really helped me adjust to the Irish lifestyle.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Rathmines is one of the safest areas of Dublin and that is where we lived. Dublin is overall a very safe city.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
