I learned how to travel alone, be safe, how to rely on friends you make abroad. Yes, all of it is worthwhile.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Go with an adviser to get phone sim cards, understand plan fully to not get over charged. Don't buy used bicycles. Budget for expenses, plan trips early to plan money out. Don't go out every night.
