Grocery shopping and making your own food made me become very independent.

I wish I got to live with Italians instead of being housed with Americans.

Lots of theft in Rome.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

I wish I was more submersed in the culture and not as babied.

Only because I saved up a lot of money before I went abroad. Cooking your own meals saves a lot of money.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Save up a couple thousand if you want to do everything you can abroad. You feel more independent traveling and paying for everything yourself.
