What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about Spain and her culture. I also became more fluent in Spanish. I got to travel a lot. It was definitely worthwhile.

My host mom was phenomenal! Such a sweet lady.

Amazing ethnic food!

Barcelona had a lot of tourists therefore there was a lot of English spoken.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I have received so much support from the API program as well as my host family. I couldn't have asked for better people to be abroad with.

Finances

I traveled a lot, therefore I spent more than I intended to.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Set up a budget and stick to it. It's so easy to splurge money when in a foreign country because you keep thinking that you can't get certain things at home.
