The Universidad de Chile is an international, public university and the oldest higher education institution in Chile. Originally founded to help Chile modernize and develop democratic values, the university strives to promote justice, respect for diversity, and human rights in all its dimensions. The Universidad de Chile is located in Santiago, Chile's capital and center of political, economic, cultural and social activity.
The Faculty of Law, one of the oldest in the country, was founded in 1842 as the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. As the premier law school in Chile, the Faculty of Law at the Universidad de Chile attracts some of the brightest minds in the country. The Faculty of Law currently ranks among the top law programs in the world, ranking 86th on the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018 for law. Its graduates include lawyers, politicians, diplomats and many other men and women that have contributed to the cultural and social fabric of Chile.  The school specializes in human rights law and environmental law.

The program is offered in both the spring and fall semesters.

ContactThe language of instruction at the Universidad de Chile is Spanish.  The university requires a command of Spanish adequate for academic work for admission. Students applying to the program must submit proof of Spanish proficiency.
