What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about myself as an individual and as a Lebanese-American. I gained experience with what I want to do professionally (I volunteered with two different Syrian refugee NGOs).

I loved that the AUB international students were fully immersed into the Lebanese culture and society. We took courses with fellow Lebanese students, so we really got to live and study like them. It was very different from other study abroad programs where the internationals just stick to internationals.
