ALBA Study Abroad in Barcelona

An exciting, accessible, accredited learning experience:


  • Electives in various academic disciplines: ALBA elective courses (other than Spanish language) are worth 5 quarter credits (3.3-4 semester credits) and are taught in English at the ALBA facilities in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic quarter.


  • Spanish language and culture: Spanish language courses are worth 6 quarter credits (4-5 semester credits) and are offered at the ALBA facilities. These courses range from the 100 to the 300 level.


  • Various housing options: Choose from a wide range of well-located option, and find your home in Barcelona taht best fits your personal study abroad goals.



  • Located in the heart of Barcelona: Our school facilities are located in the very heart of Barcelona and for students, professors & staff members to meet and learn from each others' experience.


  • Many Cultural advantages: As a student with ALBA Study Abroad in Barcelona, you will have the opportunity to participate in four to five ALBA sponsored excursions, many professor-led field trips and a variety of other free or low-cost experiences, including Spanish Cooking Classes.


  • Accredited Program: ALBA Study Abroad is an accredited program of Portland State University (Oregon), and a partner of the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
