What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was worthwhile. I think it was one of the best things I have done for myself. I gained information about myself I didnt know I had and I know now I can do things on my own.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The work load was fine. What was difficult was finding resources for the research projects. I wish I would have had access to a library. Grading was fair and the professor were good. I especially liked my Arabic professor Dra. Manar and my Egyptology professor, Dr. Hasim.

My resident director and his staff was amazing. Truly made the office feel like a home away from home.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Apartment was located in a nice area in the city. I was accessible to public transportation.

* Food:

Food was fine because I was cooking it. I mean restaurants and food from Egypt is amazing.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Going to Alexandria traveling through Egypt going to football games, cinemas, malls, opera houses, museums and more. AMAZING.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I felt extremely safe and I only got sick once.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Sunblock, not hot clothing for the summer months but do bring a sweater because it does get chilly in the winter.
