About
This program addresses fundamental themes and paradoxes of western civilization by considering Poland as a site both of the life-affirming ideals of the Renaissance and the life-destroying horror of the Holocaust. This course offers students an opportunity to engage directly with the intersection of place and time in history. Through visits to sites of genocide, cultural erasure, and political violence, as well as to monuments to religion, artistic expression, and political power, this program engages intensely with Agnes Scott’s mission.
This program is hosted by CEPA - Customized Educational Programs Abroad. CEPA has partnered with many universities and colleges throughout North America as well as Brazil to develop and implement education abroad programs with strong academic and cultural components.
