Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The classes were very surface level and I already knew most of the information from previous animal anatomy classes and I wish I learned more equine related issues. The fitness class was great and the field trips were amazing.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Oatridge College was absolutely amazing. The staff was great and I loved all our teachers and instructors. Everyone was really helpful and they all wanted us to have a great experience. There was some miscommunication at times but it was all resolved very quickly.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I loved having my own room and bathroom, but everything else was sub-par. The wifi sucked and I could not access my email from my room so I had to use the schools computers to get it.

* Food:

Dining hall food was not great but I expected that.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Excursions were great but al the exposure we had was with the rowdy Scottish students here.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Everyone was very concerned with my cough as I came over recovering from an upper respiratory tract infection. There were no health services available on campus so I had to take a cab into the local town to go to the doctors. I was able to see a doctor and get a prescription within an hour and it was fine.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

You don't have to spend money during the week if you don't want to. But if you want to go out and have fun and have dinner out then that's an option, but most everything was provided for us.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Less that $100/week.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No
