Therapy Abroad was created to provide a valuable, relevant, and practical experience for therapists who have an interest in international travel. Therapy abroad co-founder, Jessica Brown, is a USA licensed speech-language pathologist and a trained music therapist who has traveled to more than 40 countries and all seven continents.
The idea for Therapy Abroad grew out of Jessica’s personal experiences and her sincere love of travel. Living and working abroad is not for everyone, and most students and professionals simply don’t have the time to organize their own service learning or volunteer trips. Understanding this is what drove the creation of Therapy Abroad. Our goal is not to push people to work overseas, but simply to inspire more students and therapists to take that first step toward volunteering, service learning, completing a practicum experience, or simply gaining the type of unique professional insight that comes from working in a foreign location.
Therapy Abroad programs are designed to provide a skilled clinical experience for undergraduate students, graduate students, and professionals who believe that quality learning and continuing education can be an adventure.
