"I want to go back. I want to learn more Japanese. Japan is amazing. I was significantly lacking in motivation to manufacture my return to the states because I wanted to stay so badly. "

"Most of what I learned abroad had nothing to do with academics at all. I learned more about myself and other people. I became a little more spontaneous and outgoing, and I learned how to balance working hard and having a good time. This experience didn't really change any of my plans (because I didn't really have any yet), b..."

"My experience was incredible and worth every penny. I feel so much connected to the world now and to other cultures, I don't feel so wrapped up in my Texas suburb bubble. "The experience was worthwhile, but what was surprising to me at the beginning of the program was that I learned more about myself and about personal things unrelated to French and academics than I did about other things. "I've only been back in the US for a few days now, and I imagine I'll see more of an impact as time goes on. My biggest goal was to improve my Spanish skills and most definitely did that.
