Study Abroad with IES Abroad
"I learned that I can be successfully independent from my study abroad experience. Outside of trips with IES, I traveled to Paris, Brussels, Oxford, Windsor, Wimbledon, and Dover. Each of these trips taught me that I have the capability of "choosing my own adventure." Similarly, a lot of my exploration of London was done on my ow..."

"Before this program, I had never thought about visiting Austria, I didn’t speak German, and had no idea what to expect. Once I arrived, I was shocked by how much I loved the culture, people, food, and atmosphere. You can spend hours uninterrupted in a coffee shop, or stroll through the stunning streets of the first district. The..."

"The best thing that I gained from my experience abroad was the sense of personal growth that I never would have been able to cultivate by staying in the U.S., so it was certainly worthwhile. I had never lived alone before or traveled alone; I was forced to rely on myself for 6 weeks. It was one of the most fun parts of growing u..."

"I became a much more mature person. I travelled a lot, and had to plan things all on my own. I saw and did so many things. I would absolutely do it again, and regret that I do not have the opportunity to. "

"Besides the lifelong friendships, connections, and memories that I created, perspective is the greatest gift that I came away from this trip with.
