I gained a broader understanding of the world, made incredible friends, got experience doing independent research, saw many unique and spectacular sites, and had a total blast for six weeks- definitely worthwhile!!! A student - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review
Very worthwhile. After 6 weeks in Santiago de Compostela, Spain I grew so accustomed to the culture that I thought it was just like Virginia until I stopped to realize that the plaza culture that gathers people of all ages and classes is not available in Virginia. About
The College of William & Mary’s summer program in Santiago de Compostela, Spain will have two components: an intensive seminar (2-credit course), followed by a research component and a final one-week workshop (4-credit course). All students will be required to enroll in both courses. The intensive seminar in Santiago de Compostela will be taught by W&M faculty members who will advise student projects with ethnographic components. Several guest lecturers and on-site specialists will contribute to seminars. For the duration of the program, students will live in a renovated pilgrim hostel, San Martín Pinario, specially outfitted for study groups. Breakfasts are included, along with a meal stipend to cover your other meals.
