Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Not much academic rigor within the universities other than learning everything in French. Much memorization.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I liked my host family.

* Food:

I miss French food so much!! The ingredients were so fresh.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Had a lot of American friends but only made french friends because I already knew french people prior to attending the program. The program doesn't make an effort to integrate you into the french university so it is hard to make french friends.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I had a overall good study abroad experience and made good friends, although the academic rigor wasn't as intense as I expected. However, I learned a lot culturally.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Buy good meals but don't spend too much money on random snacks.
