Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I felt like the work took little to no effort to complete. Everyone is rather laid back about due dates. I loved both my professors. I learned a lot. It just didn't seem like college because things were so much easier. However, it was great to have a lot extra free time!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Breezy Wente was awesome. She was able to help me with so many questions. She had even been to Greece on numerous occasions and was therefore, very knowledgeable.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The apartment in Plaka was great. We had to bring our own sheets. It was very close to a big part of the nightlife too. Great and safe area!

* Food:

Food was fantastic. They had many options.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Go to the Museums! They are wonderful. My favorite was either the Archaeological museum or the Benaki museum.

* Safety:

Dina Skies made of very aware of the unsafe areas (Omonia). I didn't have any issues with my health though.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Ancient Greek Games and Philosophy

Course Department: ART
Instructor: Ioanna Mastora
Instruction Language: English
Comments: This course is filled with information. I loved it. The work load was not very intense. The professor was great. She was always prepared and very knowledgeable. I participated more in this class because there were only 7 of us.
Credit Transfer Issues: The only issue I had was getting the credit to count as a philosophy credit. The class could be counted as an art/history/phil. It ended up fine because I technically didn't need any of those. However, if you need it to count as a specific course, make sure you tell your home institution.
