What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Being in China, which is proving to be a a big contender in the world market, has helped me understand the impact international relationships have on everyone economically, socially,religiously, etc. It has also helped me recognize myself has a world citizen and not just an American citizen.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Minimize spending on food by cooking meals with groups of people. Avoid spending money on expensive transportation like buses if other, more economical options are available.

Language acquisition improvement?

I practiced language with a language partner and everyday interactions. Not a lot of natives spoke English. I used the host country language to perform regular daily tasks.
