Uppsala University: Uppsala - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
While it may sound cliche, I did learn a lot about myself while abroad. From what is the most conducive learning environment for me to what my political views on certain issues really are, its hard to list out just how much I learned while abroad.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

Eating out is very expensive in Sweden so I primarily cooked for myself. The times I did go out were few, but when I did it was to the student nations or for fika at a cafe in town

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Food, alcohol, hair cuts, everything is more expensive in Sweden. Purchasing a bike (with a good lock) will help reduce transportation costs, but prepare yourself to pay more than you would in the states for pretty much everything

Direct Enrollment/Exchange
