Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I had saved money so that I could spend more. I definitely think that it can be done at a lower cost than I did. However, I wanted to enjoy my time and not worry about money as much.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Maybe $175
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Plan somewhat ahead. The most expensive thing can be eating, so try to make some emails at home but when you eat out, make it worthwhile and choose good food. Don't always choose the cheapest meal.

Comments: It was an incredible class! The professor was great, very nice and knowledgable. She always encouraged to share our ideas but never forced us. The class itself great and was very interesting. The professor also took us on field trips to bring another element to the class. My only complaint was that the class was too short!
