While in Victoria, I was able to learn how to be truly on my own (and love it!) and connect with nature in a completely different way. I was asked several times why I would want to study in Canada, since it's basically the same as the USA. I found this to be completely untrue--they are different in many ways. I think it's important for everyone to study abroad somewhere. Canada suited my needs perfectly.
