What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I have learned so much about the Australian Culture and loved everything about it! Australia is such a beautiful place with amazing and laid-back people. I can't wait to go back and visit one day! While there, I discovered my hopes for the future and realized how much I want to travel the world and experience new cultures. I highly recommend studying abroad, you will love it! :)

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The grading system takes a while to get used to because it's credit based instead of letter grades, but the workload isn't too difficult. I really enjoyed my classes and the professors were great.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in the university housing with 4 roommates: one from America, one from Tasmania, one from Iran, and one from Hong Kong. It was great living with a variety of people and very close to campus. However, during the winter it was quite cold and our heating did not work very well. We could see our breath while we were in the kitchen most nights. I recommend making sure your heater works in your room before winter season rolls around.

* Food:

La bella's, Alley Cat, Red Herring (on tuesdays), Metz ($5 pizzas on wednesday nights), and Pepperz. Pepperz is the cafeteria for students up at the accommodation, it's super cheap and they have some awesome dishes.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The Aussie's are AWESOME!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
