Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I have learned a lot through the fieldtrips. The course is really interesting and you get to travel with your classmates. During trips we would get a quiz to fill in, but it was more for the participation then grading. On the end of the course I need to write 2000 words essay and present a case study.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

My expectations were met. Support services are very good and everyone are helpful .

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Park Village 5D

The dorm is little bit older but it is in a very good shape. Cooking utilities, bed covers and pillow were there, so I did not have to purchase those things. Twice a week they would clean the dorm and once a week our romms.

* Food:

I bought my own food and cooked it.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I met new friends, from Mexico. I saw Stonegenge, Wincherster and London.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I did not have any problems.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Buy monthly saver ticket for the bus, not weekley you will save 5 pounds! When buying tickets to go traveling buy them online and in advence they will be much cheaper.

ENGLISH FOLKLORE

Course Department: IS095
Instructor: COLIN MANTON
Instruction Language: ENGLISH
Comments: Class is very interesting and well thought. Trips with the class made the material tangible and more understandable. I participted more than I would in my home institution, becuase the class was small and we spend more out of classroom time with the classmaates and professor during field trips.
