What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was worthwhile as a travel experience, not as an educational experience. But the people are nice and welcoming.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The work was not nearly as challenging or as time consuming as Wellesley.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

You could go to the administration offices with questions at any time.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in New Hall, which was very nice. Single rooms with double beds and private bathrooms. There were also kitchens on each hall and they cleaned your room for you once a week.

Mixed in with student body.

* Food:

The food in the dining hall was horrible.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

There is lots of social interaction. People go out to bars in town almost every night.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

It was very safe and I always had access to health care should I have needed it.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 50-80 pounds
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Just remember the pound is expensive, so it may look cheap but it is not.

Language acquisition improvement?

The country spoke english, which is my primary language.
