Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Here are evaluated using cumulative averages, and finally make grades and accumulate in the GPA. The teachers of this university are very strict and we are charged too much work, but their teaching method is effective because in the end we showed what we learn in the final exams. I fail if teachers are evaluated each quarter and the comments come to the directors and the time they are taking the subject letter. Until now I complain about the education system but should take it easy sometimes because we pressed a lot, and more with scholarships and anything that has to do with teaching methods that sometimes do not work. In this university does not discriminate or at least tell the difference if you're a first year or two, here everyone is treated equally, except those who are of a special program that need special treatment or attention.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The university is easily accessible, if not personally the services, offered through the Internet. Assumed that these administrations are comfortable and fast but are rather slow, and fail when there is much pressure or too much movement, are lost in the way of coordinating and guiding others. But so far that I'll only complain is when it goes to tuition, that's not so used to serve students in economic assistance.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

In my house, we three, my mother, sister and me. So far I havent had discomfort because the university is close to me. But I have many expenses, buying lunches, course materials, the transportation and others that are needed to go to college and fulfill my duties every day. I have days later I go to a university as seven in the evening and is very dangerous for me to walk by where I live. Even within the university is dangerous at night because the guards are not always aware of those entering or leaving. But in the parking lot that can go either way you never expected.

* Food:

Here most of the fast food meal is the only thing we eat. Around which there is Burger King, Church and other fast food that the most they do is damage to the body. The most wise to have a healthy body is to bring food from home, and this way you can safe money and eat well.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Here in Ponce, P.R. as much as there are attractions such as museums, churches, castles, parks and other places of interest. As in last week's course of history gave a tour to the Ponce Museum of Art as part of the class. In other ongoing travel to other villages to visit places of interest and educational things depending on the course.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

In a matter of health, the university is good on outstanding and over the course of nursing, But I I'm diabetic, health is always the order of the day. The health care plans are easily accessible, and if you can afford it there is a public health plan that helped a lot. University itself offers a good health plan and pays the excess of the grant. One always looks better at home than in college, because the more I eat is junk food, but also it depends on oneself.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

The whole class was in English, the teacher and students had to demonstrate and apply all of the English language. I had to practice the language with my other classmates and the teacher assessed as interpreted, wrote and spoke. Some students did not interact either language, but could defend the practice during the course.
