it was worthwhile, I learned to step out of my comfort zone and learn content areas in my non-native language with the support of a host family

had to go out of my way to reach students who were not american

safe to walk home at night with friends, bus system was clean and safe

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? do not eat out a lot unless it's with a group, go to the supermarket if you want snacks to keep in the house, go gift shopping throughout the entire program, buy a cheep cell phone once you are abroad
