The Summer in Cyprus: Health Sciences program allows pre-medical, nursing or other allied health students interested in healthcare to learn about the differences in health care management between the United States and Europe as they relate to provision of care, funding, public health, patient education and legal environment. Classroom work is supplemented by site visits to 5-7 public and private hospitals and clinics in Cyprus.
Cyprus has a reasonably well-developed, social-oriented healthcare sector and is an interesting country to explore the differences between the American and European model of health care on a manageable and accessible scale.

Cyprus: Modern and Medieval Nicosia, Larnaca & Ayia Napa, Troodos, Limassol & Paphos, Polis

University of Nicosia - Global Semesters Scholarships
This award is for semester students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Students must mail their official transcript to Global Learning Semesters for verification. This award can only be combined with our Early Deposit Discount.

Spring: July 15th
Guidelines/Requirements:
The awards will be distributed on a rolling basis as a discount on program fees, to admitted students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above who request consideration until the spots are filled. There are 100 spots per semester.
The GPA will be verified by an official transcript received by mail.
We strongly recommend that students apply for this program before April 15th for Fall programs and before July 15th for Spring programs.
Global Learning Semesters awards the Takis Chrysanthou Honored Scholar Award to one student each semester. The student must be attending a semester-long program that is home-based in Cyprus. The award winner is selected based on academic merit, expected contribution to the group experience, and financial need. This award is a $2,500 discount that is credited against program fees.

Guidelines/Requirements:
In order to be eligible for this scholarship a student must first be accepted into a semester-long Global Learning Semesters program based in Cyprus and then send us the following:
a copy of his or her latest FAFSA
a list of expected financial aid from other sources
an essay, not to exceed 600 words, describing what he or she will contribute to the group experience on the program
